How Pricing Works
BrainRoad charges for the private Business Brain and helper workspace around your agent: saved context, files, review history, and the isolated infrastructure that keeps it running. Starter begins with a BrainRoad-provided trial key already configured inside your agent. When you move beyond the trial, you can add your own API key from providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google to control model spend directly. BrainRoad does not charge for AI usage, does not mark up token costs, and never touches your provider billing.
Your BrainRoad subscription covers the isolated infrastructure that keeps your agent running 24/7 — compute, storage, networking, and the management dashboard.
Current Plans
BrainRoad currently has one trial plan and one paid plan:
- Starter ($0 for 30 days) — One full BrainRoad helper workspace for 30 days. Starter includes the live hosted agent experience: dashboard access, browser and console access, templates, setup wizard, persistent storage, your Business Brain, and your agent email.
- Pro ($29/month, or $24/month billed annually — $288/year) — Keeps your Business Brain and helper workspace running after Starter ends and adds paid identity features like an agent phone number for SMS.
Starter is not a dashboard-only preview. It is the real hosted product. The main differences with Pro are duration and paid identity features.

Your AI model costs stay separate on both plans. Starter begins with a BrainRoad-provided trial key already configured inside your agent, and you can add your own provider key at any time if you want direct control over model spend.
