Your Private Business Brain

BrainRoad builds the private Business Brain your AI helper works from. You add the files, notes, customer history, FAQs, quote templates, service rules, follow-up rules, and decisions your helper should know before it drafts anything. No terminal, no server setup, no DevOps required.

Think of it as getting your business context organized so AI can actually help. Your helper drafts customer replies, follow-ups, summaries, quote prep, and next steps from the information you provide. You review the draft before anything goes out.

Three pieces work together:

  1. The Business Brain stores and organizes your business context: uploads, notes, emails, and decisions, all searchable and cited. Learn more in the Business Brain overview.
  2. Two hosted AI helpers work from that Brain in a private workspace that belongs only to you.
  3. The Inbox is the review step. Your helper drafts the work; you edit, approve, or decline before anything is sent or changed. Learn more in the approvals overview.

How Is This Different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT waits for you to open a tab and type something, and you bring all the context yourself every time. BrainRoad keeps durable business context: files, notes, prior decisions, and customer details persist across conversations, so your helper can draft from them next time without you re-explaining your business.

The other difference is the review step. When your BrainRoad helper wants to do something outward-facing, like reply to a customer email, the draft lands in your Inbox first. You stay in control of what actually goes out.

Two Helpers, One Brain

Every account comes with two AI helper runtimes, both open source:

  • OpenClaw, the primary helper runtime
  • Hermes, a sister runtime with its own interface and strengths

Both start automatically when your account is provisioned, both work from the same Business Brain, and you can run either or both, stop one, and pick the interface you prefer. See how agents work for details.

Each helper runs in its own isolated environment with dedicated storage and private configuration. No other user can reach your helper’s data. Your files, conversations, and API keys are separated from everyone else on the platform. If you stop your helper and come back later, your Brain, files, and configuration are where you left them (workspaces left stopped for a long time may eventually be archived; see plans and pricing).

Review Before Send

New customer-facing work starts in review. Your helper proposes an action, the draft appears in your dashboard Inbox, and you edit, approve, or decline it. Quotes, booking invitations, and text messages always require your approval. Over time, routine low-risk email replies that you approve repeatedly can earn narrow, capped autonomy in a specific thread, and you can pause or revoke that at any point. High-stakes messages involving money, contracts, or credentials always come back to you.

Who Is BrainRoad For?

BrainRoad is built for people who started a business: solo owners and small teams with repetitive communication, quote prep, follow-up, or research work eating up the day. If you want AI help grounded in your real business context, without managing infrastructure, a Business Brain gives your helper what it needs to draft the next step.
